Premier Genomics is a CLIA-accredited, CAP-certified clinical laboratory that offers cutting-edge genetic testing.
Partnering with private practices and institutions, we serve physicians and their patients by offering genetic tests and comprehensive reports that give physicians the tools they need to guide patient medical management. We specialize in the areas of Pharmacogenomics, Prenatal/carrier screening, Infectious Disease, Hereditary Cancer and Wellness.
Founded by physicians, we strongly believe that the value of advanced genetic testing lies in actionable, relevant results reporting with medical management guidance, based on publications by international pharmacogenetics expert groups, consortia, or regulatory bodies.
Amanda Natalizio, Ph.D., received her bachelor’s degree from Wittenberg University with a focus in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She continued on to obtain her doctoral degree in Genetics and Molecular Biology at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
After completing her doctoral training, she joined the Department of Pharmacology and Cancer Biology at Duke University where she investigated the mechanisms of metabolic regulation in skeletal muscle.
Dr. Natalizio began working as a Variant Scientist with LabCorp and won Laboratorian of the Year in 2015. She spent two years interpreting genetic variants in a CLIA/CAP environment. She processed and classified variants in the areas of oncology, cardiology, immunology, pulmonology, and hematology. Dr. Natalizio joined the Premier Genomics’ team in 2016 as the Director of Molecular Genetics where she oversees operation and administration of the laboratory.
